On September 1st, during the "SCO Summit" in Tianjin, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim met with a delegation led by Mr. Li Haiping, Chairman and President of Rianlon Corporation, at Banyan Tree Hotel. Malaysian Minister of Transport Anthony Loke Siew Fook and other Malaysian government representatives were present at the meeting.
During the meeting, Chairman Li briefed Prime Minister Anwar on the company's development history and presented Rianlon's parallel business model, described as its "three life curves":
The anti-aging additives business is like "rice in the pot": it is a vital revenue source.
The lubricant additives industry, is comparable to "grain in the granary": is the high growing sector poised to become a major revenue drive.
Finally, biomanufacturing is described as "rice seedlings in the field": it symbolizes the company's future growth potential, embodying its long-term vision.
Furthermore, Chairman Li highlighted Malaysia's strategic geographical location, stable policies, inclusive culture, and the close economic ties between China and Malaysia as key reasons for the company's decision, following careful site evaluation, to establish its presence in Malaysia. The company plans to invest MYR 820 million in the first phase of its overseas base project in Johor. This project is located in the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ).
Prime Minister Anwar expressed high appreciation and a warm welcome for the company's investment in Malaysia. He stated that Malaysia highly welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest and establish businesses in the country. The implementation of this project will introduce high-end chemical and biological industries, technologies, and talent to the local area. Leveraging Malaysia's advantages in natural resources and the marine economy, the project holds promising prospects.
Both sides also exchanged views on project progress, technological cooperation, university-enterprise exchanges, and the deep development and utilization of local resources.
