Rianlon Showcases Sustainable and High-Performance Solutions at K 2025

2025-11-05

October 2025 – The triennial global flagship event for the plastics and rubber industry, the International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber (K 2025), concluded successfully in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Marking its eighth participation, Rianlon presented a range of sustainable, high-performance innovative products and tailored anti-aging solutions for industry challenges and pain points, demonstrating the company's forward-looking technology portfolio and continuous innovation capabilities to global customers and partners.

High-Performance Weathering Solutions

Focusing on Demanding Applications

At this year's K Show, Rianlon introduced targeted formulation solutions for various sectors requiring long-term weathering resistance, covering applications such as vehicles, rotomolding, and agricultural films, which became a key highlight of the event.

PP for Vehicle Interiors & Exteriors

For polypropylene materials used in  automobile interiors and exteriors, Rianlon launched U-pack® UV-703, which achieves excellent weathering performance for automotive PP at lower dosage levels, reducing the risks of migration, odor, and VOC emissions.

Rotomolding

For rotomoulding products intended for long-term outdoor use, U-pack® UV-7481 and U-pack® UV-7486 meet ultra-long weathering specifications ranging from UV-8 to UV-20.

Agricultural Films

For the agricultural film industry where resistance to various sulfur- and chlorine-containing agrochemicals is crucial. Rianlon's U-pack® UV-7363, U-pack® UV-8400, and U-pack® UV-8430 can cover service life requirements of 1 to 4 years under high sulfur/chlorine environments.

Rianlon’s high-performance weathering portfolio significantly enhances material weatherability and stability under extreme conditions such as high temperatures and intense UV exposure, precisely meeting the market's demand for high-end material durability.

Regulatory Changes

We Are Prepared

Following the inclusion of UV-326 and UV-329 in the EU's SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) list in 2024, related industries and customers have begun seeking alternatives. Although these substances are expected to remain usable for approximately 5–8 years, alternative assessments should begin now—especially for products requiring long-term weathering resistance.

Polycarbonate

For the polycarbonate industry, which widely uses UV-329 as a weathering additive, Rianlon introduced RIASORB® UV-360UL. Maintaining strong UV absorption, high heat resistance, and excellent compatibility, it also offers significantly improved initial color—making it ideal for transparent and optical-grade applications with stringent color requirements.

TPU

For alternatives in the TPU industry,  RIASORB® UV-234 and RIASORB® UV-P can be the candidate. The newly launched U-pack® UV-7188 can further enhance performance, which combines higher protection efficiency, and better initial color. It meets the needs of complex application environments and has quickly gained customer recognition.

RIASORB® UV-234 and RIASORB® UV-P, belonging to the same benzotriazole class as UV-326, exhibit similar absorption profiles and stability, demonstrating performance comparable to UV-326 in numerous applications and rapidly becoming popular alternative candidates. RIASORB® UV-1164, a triazine-based UV absorber, has also shown excellent performance in various tests and possesses food contact certifications, making it recommended for use in relevant fields.

Furthermore, several other innovative light stabilizers and optimized blend solutions from Rianlon have become ideal choices for customers addressing supply chain compliance challenges and achieving greener product upgrades.

Next-Generation Anti-Aging Solutions for Adhesives

Driving Sustainability

In response to increasing regulatory restrictions on traditional adhesive additives, Rianlon has developed safer and more environmentally friendly anti-aging formulation systems. Two liquid products—U-pack® UV-7175 and U-pack® UV-8260—stood out at the show.

U-pack® UV-7175

Specifically designed for adhesives and elastomers, U-pack® UV-7175 is particularly suitable for polyurethane (including TPU, MS……) and acrylic systems, delivering outstanding weatherability.

U-pack® UV-8260

This is a high-performance, eco-friendly comprehensive anti-aging formulation widely used in amine-cured epoxy adhesives, polyurethane sealants, and  MS adhesives. It significantly enhances the product's resistance to thermo-oxidative and light aging.

Addressing Stability Challenges in Recycled Plastics

Empowering the Circular Economy

As global attention on plastic recycling intensifies, enhancing material stability throughout the recycling process has become a key industry focus. Rianlon developed U-pack® B8633 specifically to address the issue of increased gel formation during the blown film processing of recycled Polyethylene (rPE), substantially improving the performance of films produced from recyclate.

Collaboration and Innovation Toward a Sustainable Future

Throughout the eight-day event, Rianlon’s booth attracted a steady stream of visitors. The company engaged in in-depth technical exchanges with both new and existing global clients and reached intentions for further collaboration and dialogue with several companies on hot topics like "Design for Recycling" and "Compliant Substitution."

The cutting-edge technology sharing and systematic solution offerings reaffirmed Rianlon's position not merely as a product supplier, but as a trusted innovation partner for customers on their sustainable transformation journey.

Against the backdrop of the global plastics industry's accelerated transition towards "green circularity, high performance, and digitalization," Rianlon, as a leading enterprise in the global polymer anti-aging sector, will continue to deepen collaborative innovation with value chain partners. The commitment extends beyond providing material anti-aging support to playing a pivotal role in systemic issues such as circular economy design, regulatory compliance, and performance enhancement.

Rianlon looks forward to joining hands with global partners to collectively drive the plastics and rubber industry towards a new era of green, sustainable, and high-quality development.
